I liked a girl for about 5 months now. It may not seem like a long time, but for a 7th grade male, it’s a long time. I don’t want to say her name so I will call her by my nickname for her, Cotton Candy. I would call her that because she had blue hair.
We always were friends. She was my first friend at my new school in Alabama. She was a quiet girl. We would love to just sit and I would make her laugh. I dated her about seven times. However, sadly five of those times, she broke up with me for a guy I hate named Steven.
On the eighth time we dated my friends made a big deal on it. Even my best friend, Cody, joined in. She was so shy and tried so hard not to laugh. The bell finally rang and we went to class. During my second period, Cody and I were talking and it turned out like this.
“Dude, I’m so happy for you, Bro.” “I know right. I loved her so much. And finally we are dating…. Again” “Well were going to have to something special.” “Like what, Cody?” “I don’t know. We should go to a concert.” “Good idea. What band?” “Um… about Linkin Park?” “Ok.”
Cody, a few friends, and I did a little work. We did a lot of stuff like mow lawns, more chores, and some other stuff. We had a good 2 months till the concert and we had enough money for Cotton Candy, Cody, his girlfriend Sadie, and I.
We got there to find are seats taken by a drunken guy and his friends. After about ten minutes of talking and a few punches we got to sit in are sets. The concert was awesome and when we got to a slow song called “Powerless” I opened my hand to Cotton candy and we danced. When the song ended we sat back down. The concert was just about over when I saw her looking at a wall wondering what was going on I said “Baby, you ok?” “She looked at me and said “Yes, I’m ok.”
For the next few days all we did was talk and have fun. I was sitting with her at lunch when she looked at me and said three words “He is dead.” I looked at her and said “The hell you talking about.” The bell rang about 3 seconds after so it was 12:45.
When I got home I looked at the news and it said “This kid died at 12:45 P.M. on May fifth 2013. It showed a picture of Steven. I just went to my room and got on my computer and skyped Cotton Candy, Cody, and Sadie. We all talked about what we all just saw on the news. Cody and Sadie said they had to go. So it was just me and Cotton Candy. She looked at me and started to cry. I looked at her to shocked to say anything.
She looked at me and said “I told you. And now you know.” She looked up and instead of the clear tears we humans usually cried, but they were blue. I exited skype and ran to her house. I walked in when her Mom said. “Hey, Gage she is in her room.” I wondered if she knew what just happened.
I entered her room. She looked at me with blue lines going down her face and said “I told you. I can tell who is next.” She pointed at a picture of me and my friends. I said “Who is next?” She just started to cry. I said “Cody” I ran to his house to find him on the steps with Sadie
I told him what happened and with no surprise he didn’t believe me. I said “Come with me to her house.” He looked at Sadie and said “Ok.” We ran to her house to see her on the floor with a picture of Sadie. We looked at her and I said “Crap. Get Sadie.” He ran to his house as fast as he could.
I looked at her and said “Baby, when is it?” She said “7…6…5….4….3…..2….1….” She held the picture as tight as she could. Then I heard it. The sound of a squeaking tier and then a scream. I ran to Cody’s house to see Sadie on the ground with a pool of a red liquid around her neck. I walked close to see she landed on her head.
The driver got out of the car and called 911. The police showed up and we had to leave to body. I had to comfort Cody cause of the lost for the girl he loved. We went to Cotton Candy’s to see her with a picture of me and Cody, with Cody’s head ridded off. She showed us the head and it had holes in the neck. I looked at him and said, in desperation “Go to the kitchen.”
He ran to the kitchen and then I heard the scream. I ran to the kitchen to see him on the ground with glass in the back on his neck. I ran to Cotton Candy, trying not to cry, and she held the picture of us kissing. I said “Baby, I love you.” I ran to my house and wrote this. This will be the last thing I write but if anyone sees this you have to tell Cotton Candy I said “Chloe. You need to use this to tell people. Give them warning and I Love you.”
2 weeks later
We found Gage’s body with extreme Food poising. He died early May sixth, 2013 at 3:32 P.M. We can conclude it was from an undercooked Fish Taco. Chloe never did do Gage’s last request. Instead she moved so she wouldn’t have to be near the town where everything happened. Where she lost her friends.
