I am going to start by saying that I am not crazy. This is not a stupid little ghost story. This is a genuine warning that could save your life one day, and it is not to be ignored. Do not even think about clicking on another link! Just trust me. I need to make this quick, as I do not have much time. And unfortunately, neither do you.
Have you ever heard the saying “There is nothing to fear but fear itself,” This may seem irrelevant, but whoever said this to you is absolutely correct. Fear is much more dangerous than you could ever imagine. How do I know this? Because I have been studying it. Many say that fear is just a reflex needed to survive, that helps you prepare for a dangerous situation. Some say it is a sixth sense. Well, none of that is true. Fear may tense your muscles and raise your heartbeat, but fear is not what it seems. I should probably make the following very clear: fear is what makes up the room you see around you, the air that you breath, all of the forests, deserts, mountains, valleys and cities of the Earth. Fear is, in a nutshell, everything. But most importantly, fear is alive. And dangerous. Those that know the truth are known to be insane. So I guess that means you are, too.
To prove that this isn’t just a scam, I will show you how to see the effects of fear right now. You will need to trust me every step of the way, as one wrong move could prove fatal. For both of us. Are you ready? Good. Then let’s begin.
Firstly, I am going to ask you to turn out the lights and make the room as dark as you possibly can. This will attract fear. Ah, that’s better. I always feel safer in the dark. Next, you must block out all thoughts and background noises, and make yourself think you are alone. You may feel a slight buzzing in your head. That is the fear beginning to manifest itself. Finally, concentrate on your surroundings and the noises that are echoing throughout your house. You can hear creaking. Is it just the house settling, or is it the footsteps of an uninvited guest? Is that shadow in the corner of your room moving? Is that the soft carpet between your toes, or is that the bristling leg of a tarantula curling over your foot? Are you feeling scared yet? Can you feel fear beginning to take over everything?
Stop. Don’t worry, the test is over. But you are still not safe. In fact, that test was completely pointless. Death will still come to take you. That test may have been very pointless to you, but it was certainly an advantage to me. You see, while you have been reading this, I have been hard at work tracking down your location through the internet. By now, I will already be in your house. If I have timed it correctly, I will already be in the back of your closet. Thank you for turning out the lights, by the way. Perhaps you will already feel my breath on the back of your neck. Whatever the case, take this story as a lesson: Never trust a Creepypasta writer. You see, there is only one thing that you should fear. And that is me.
