Hell Bound Hound-Courage The Cowardly Dog

We all know courage the cowardly dog as the creepy yet loveable children’s show…yet I am certain you don’t know the real story behind courage and his adventures do you?
It all starts with Eustace as a child. He never had a normal childhood. he was abused throughout his childhood which lead to severe depression and anger issues. As he grew older he drifted from his family till he met Muriel. Only on rare occasions do you see Eustace being nice to Muriel in the cartoon. During the period in which he is nice to Muriel was when she became pregnant, yet months later the couple were to find their baby had died.
Eustace became depressed again. Muriel found comfort with courage as she treats it like her unborn baby. Eustace becomes furious over their child’s replacement and starts to abuse him mentally as his parents did to him many years ago. Eustace and Muriel began to drift apart. The rage in Eustace began to boil leading to an unexpected death.
Although they never spoke Muriel became depressed and began to eat her pain away. she became obese and developed eating disorders. Muriel died from over eating.
Courage had died shortly after Eustace. He had developed paranoia and anxiety due to abuse from Eustace. He died of a panic attack.
They all currently lay below us in hell. They live in a hell where nobody is safe from demons and ghouls.
Eustace still wonders of his child and what could have been. Yet he knows he can never see even their soul as it lays in Limbo.
On a few occasions you see Eustace’s mother’s ghost. Their lives in hell show us what tortures are to come!
many of the episodes can back-up this story with a lot of evidence:
-always dusk or night (night will symbolise death and dusk’s orange sky represents hells fires burning)
-Eustace kicks and hits courage (abuse)
-Eustace and Muriel never talk and are always apart)
-Muriel treats courage like a child

there is much evidence out there…we will let you discover the rest!

  1. Its a good idea (how many times has that been said on creepypasta) But maybe give a different theme, give a dark past of the creator? This is a lost episode? Change the layout. Name it a lost Courage episode like ORIGINS or something. Friendleh advice

  8. ok, you want feedback here it is.

1: Unless you are a really good writer do not do lost episodes, they are cliche as hell and few people can pull them off

2: the entire purpose of Courage is that it’s a creepy show. making a “secret backstory/whatever” pasta for it is redundant. Especially since they do talk about the characters past’s a certain amount.

3: You didn’t actually have that creepy of ideas, and they barely made sense.

4: the format of this pasta was just a bunch of ideas listed. It was neither a story, or a true documentary type pasta

  10. It was a good overview for a story. A list of ideas, a brainstorming session that could turn
into a good story with a little help. I have taken many college English courses, and passed with a grades of no less than an “A”, although I am an engineer by profession. I enjoy a good creepy story and I see potential in many of the stories posted here. I also see some that make it through on CreepyPasta that should be here instead. Criticism is a useful tool, but only if it is constructive criticism. Give these writers, many I would presume are young, a chance to get better instead of trash talking them, go and write one yourself and show them how it is done. If you have written and been successful, then you should know that people hardly ever get it right the first time around.

  12. I prefer the other theory, that him is a normal dog who have old owners that don have energy to walk him anymore, thats why his world is a farm in the midle of no where. Because of that, he see every one as a monster, but is just normal people visiting his owners house.
