I love the Pokemon series but I can’t get over the fact that lavender town is so creepy. I had a copy of Pokemon blue lying around so I decided to go to lavender town and rid my fear. Bad idea, It immediately turned night
(even though it was a first gen pokemon game)
there was no music. I tried to leave the game responded “no” confused I went into poketower and I was suprised to hear the boo house theme from new super mario bros 2 freaked out I proceeded a ghost appeared i went over and tapped the a button “You killed me” he said “Now You Pay” the battle music played slightly distorted I freaked out I sent out Sandslash and gary started by punching it. Then I used slash a horrid screech was heard and I though what have I done? Another ghost appeared… It was a raticate! but not any raticate Gary’s raticate!
I talked to it it said “You killed him”
I felt horrible and found a secret door… I entered and walked down a hallway the hallway took about 5-10 minutes and I thought when does this end I saw a sign i tapped a “Goodbye” it said. I teleported back to pallet town god knows how and i talked to oak… He said “Goodbye” the gameboy cut to black and I turned around “Goodbye” was written in crimson red on my wall.

Alright. First of all. LAVENDER! TOWN! IS! NOT! CREEPY! It may have been scary once upon, in a better age of creepypastas. You know what else was scary once? Slendy. But then both of them were swamped with godawful pastas. Like this.
First of all, you decide to go play pokemon blue just because it was ‘lying around’ and purposefully go to Lavender? *OBVIOUS SETUP* I mean, seriously, at least TRY to make a decent setup! Trying out the Mew Glitch and decide to look at Lavender afterwards (which would also provide the setup for the ‘creepy’ events), a rom copy you got for an emulator, freaking TRY!
Next of all, as you so smartly pointed out, first gen didn’t have night time. How would they even show it anyway?

Okay. WHAT? Anyway, you could just, I don’t know… turn off the device or something. Take out the cartridge.

Okay, now you’re not even trying. First of all, said theme isn’t scary, second of all, it probably would have been all 8-bit and shit.
Unless you’re trying to do a subtle ‘HYPER-REALISTIC MUSIC’ or whatever the music equivalent to the hyper-realistic cliche is. In that case, fuck. You.

Never mind that you’re supposed to find a ghost in the poketower. Unless you already finished the silph scope thing, in which case, WHOO GHOSTS ARE NOT SCARY AT ALL KTHXBAI
Then, for some reason, you decide to purposefully go over to the ghost and interact with it. Clap, clap, clap. Genius. Nobel fuckin’ prize.
“Now You Pay” – There’s about one excuse for Talking In Caps At The Start Of Every Word, but I won’t elaborate further because that would be a reference. Basically: DON’T DO IT.

Wow, so not only do you feel horrible about a dead pokemon, you immediately get over it and find a secret door. No information as to how, just ‘found a secret door…’ Can you say ‘lazy’?

First you’re getting sad over a dead pokemon, then you’re spending 10 or so minutes walking down a hallway in a game you already know is haunted.

Well, it looks like The Operator beat me to the punch here. I’ll just add that your story is significantly less scary than the original. You even cut out the scary part of Lavender Town, the music. And all the pokemon fans are bored with the “player killed Gary’s Raticate” theory.
The only good thing about this is that it isn’t a fucking Herobrine story, since I see one of the THREE authors is a fan of Minecraft.

Yes, Lavender Town creeped me out as a kid. But I just turned off the sound. But this doesn’t even reference Lavender Town or its music. You’re doing your creepypasta’s name a disgrace.
