I’ve never been a fan of these stupid creepy stories. I’ve never believed any of them. Even when I say i’m not a fan of them, I still read them alot. They really intrest me, sometimes I even begin wishing to find some stupid scary hacked version of a game and such, just too see how it would feel if I was actually in a creepypasta story, and I guess I got what I wanted, but I wouldn’t say I “enjoyed” it.
I know it’s bad, but i’ve always been a fan of pirating games, ever since I figured out I can get almost anything in a digital download for free, I went crazy. My computer was filled with cracks, roms, emulators, and tons of illegal downloaded games. I got really interested in classic games, but then I got to the point of playing games that I remember in my childhood. The good ones. I caught on to pokemon late into my life, and by that time LeafGreen and FireRed were out for a couple months, and they were what started my onterest in video games. It all started when I came home one day to find Pokemon LeafGreen sitting on my bed. I wasn’t happy or sad because I hadn’t heard of it at all before this point, but that makes since since I didn’t really have alot of friends, I was really introverted and shy at that time of my life. But boy did I like that game. I put so many hours into that game, my time played on that game would beat most of my favorite games from this time period. I beat the game, but I just kept on playing. Well now that i’ve given you a useless summary on how my love began with videogames and Pokemon, let’s get on to the real story. This took place about 3 months ago, and the thoughts still lurk around the back of my mind, making me less intrested in videogames, and making it hard to play them too. I remember coming home from a day of school, and just heading strait to my computer, just like every other day. I went straight to my favorite torrenting websites, I can’t even remember the name of them anymore… but if I recall I jailbroke my PSP that I hadn’t picked up in awhile, and I was interested in the fact that you get so many emulators on that thing. I started with playing the really popular series like mario and zelda on my PSP’s Nintendo emulators and other ones I had, but I had gotten a Gameboy Advanced emulator that I had never really done anything with. I lost my Pokemon games years ago, but I had a sudden urge to go back to my childhood, so I got a LeafGreen rom, and I thought it was a pretty legit version of the game, not like a rom hack or anything, so I copied it over to my PSP, and it was getting late so I brought my PSP up to my bed, ready to stay up late revisting my childhood. The game was completely normal at first, no Pokemon bleeding from the eyes like the creepypastas I regularly read on the internet. But one thing I did notice. I noticed the characters had less dialouge, but I just let it slide, as I didn’t play the game in years. I started playing and I realised that trainers wouldn’t stay after battles. I would defeat someone, the battle would go completely normal like a legal copy of the game would, but they just wouldn’t stay there after I battled them. It made me feal uneasy, I assumed it was a glitch and didn’t do anything about it, because it really didn;t interfere with the game. I played through the game as normal, untill I got to the route under lavender town, I can’t recall the name, but my PSP started to make faint noises, almost like whispers, but my volume was turned off, so I just assumed my mind was playing tricks on me. I kept venturing down to were the people that are fishing are, but to my suprise they weren’t there. My character stopped in his tracks, I wasn’t able to move him. I started to see bodies float in the ocean, wondering who would make such a sick and twisted rom hack. The bodies weren’t even bloody or anything. their sprites were just a pale gray. Then it hit me. These were all the trainers that I battled. I could hear my heart thumping and my whole bed was shaking because of how scared I was. The game cut to balck like I was entering a new area, but it was longer than usual. Then it cut to my character. It was just infinite darkness. I ran for a couple minutes, and I heard a loud scream, and my volume wasn’t even on. I was almost at the point of crying. I felt like I was going crazy, I looked around my room and felt like I was seeing things, I kept on hearing an infinite high-pitched screetching sound, and then it stopped. My PSP screen was black, and I realized it was turned off and just sat there for almost an hour, my whole mind flooded with horrible thoughts. I was calmed down by then, so I loaded up the rom again, and I had the back of my psp open so a can take out the battery if anything bad happened. After it finished loading, I was a t the title screen. There was no continue option, only new game. I turned my PSP off and threw the battery on the floor, and tried to go to sleep, but I just couldn’t. I still can’t I have touched my PSP in months, let alone anything videogame related. I still wonder what actually happened, but my whole mind is starting to doubt it even happened, and my family is telling me I should get help but they just don’t understand. I’m hoping this makes me feel a bit better by telling you my experience.

I made an “infinite high-pitched screeching sound” after contemplating the level of writing in this story.

How original. Another ‘I played the game and weird things happened’ pasta.

We can tell that you read a lot of pokemon creepypastas, because you can almost copy/paste from GOOD ones like lost silver & creepy black.
